What is the Best Call Of Duty ever made?

I'll Choose Call Of Duty 4. also for having the best MultiPlayer
All in the MultiPlayer Worked so well and the Killstreaks where also great.
I still play CoD4 because of this.

This would be Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It set the benchmark for how we see games today. This could be a good thing or a bad thing, but it sold millions and spawned many copies.

I think CoD1 has the best story, but since multiplayer is all I play now I voted CoD4. In my opinion CoD4 has the smoothest online experience, if that makes any sense.

Call of Duty 4 was the first game in the series that really hooked me. Moving away from WWII games was probably in Infinity Ward's best interest to avoid stagnation.
Most people loved it for the multiplayer. i played it for the single player and, of course, the ever elusive Mile High Club achievement (I did get it, eventually)
COD4 was the best.
It was the first shooter I ever finished in SP and then once I started MP I didn't put it down.
There have been good pieces to each of the subsequent releases (even Treyarch's releases, no matter how poorly they executed those pieces), but none of the games have lived up to what COD4 was and still is.
Has to be COD4. It was the first COD I ever played and it provided the most enjoyment and least frustration. After the days of COD4, hackers (PS3) and Activision just ruined the rest of the series for me. :|
Welcome Snipez, you know that there is almost no hackers anymore right? Played it 5-7 times now without any hacked lobby
